| This was my attempt to write a quasi-political novel, within the context of an Alex Delaware crime story. I’ve met a few politicians in my day and I wish I could say the experience has been spiritually uplifting. There’s some pretty strange and nasty stuff out in the world of power-brokering and I tried to capture it, and the after-effects of sudden stunning violence. Unfortunately, the figments of my warped imagination seem to have become all too real.
